Meer Electric’s 2025 BOO Y’aLL Scarecrow in Roswell

Meer Electric entered “Shocker the Scarecrow” for the Roswell Women’s Club, Scariest Fundraiser of the Year. 

In 2025, the Roswell Woman’s Club hosts its 8th annual BOO Y’aLL Scarecrow Contest, transforming Historic Canton Street into a festive display of creative, family-friendly scarecrows.

Alpharetta Scarecrow 2025

“Surge the Scarecrow”, twin of Shocker, is on display in Alpharetta.

From October 8-November 2, more than 100 scarecrows will take over the streets of Alpharetta.  They celebrate 20 years of Scarecrow Harvest.

New this year, participate in the Alpharetta Scarecrow scavenger hunt and see all the festive scarecrows.

In Roswell, Scarecrow Votes are $2 each and you can vote for as many scarecrows as you like – as many times as you like!

This year they have scarecrows in four categories:

1) Businesses & Merchants

2) Schools & Teams

3) Nonprofits & Clubs

4) Families, Neighborhoods & Individuals

Voting will take place from October 1 to October 29. Cash prizes will be awarded to the TOP Scarecrow in each of the four categories!

Winners will be announced on Facebook – Thursday, October 30 and will be posted here on RoswellWomansClub.org

Your participation in BOO Y’aLL Scarecrows will fund nonprofit grants, teacher grants and scholarships – what a great way to support our community!

Here are several past accomplishments of the Roswell Woman’s Club:

  • Since 1997, they’ve awarded over $2.5+ million  in scholarships, educational grants, and nonprofit grants in North Fulton. 

  • In 2023, RWC awarded more than $152,000 to the community: supporting scholarships, teacher grants, and nonprofit organizations. 

  • They give educational grants to teachers in the region for classroom enrichment, supplies, equipment, etc. 

  • They give scholarships to high school seniors (based on academics, leadership, community involvement) and also support nontraditional students. 

  • They have contributed to cultural & historical preservation: for example, founding the Roswell Fine Arts Alliance and the Roswell Historical Society, sponsoring art shows, hosting speakers, and supporting preservation efforts. 

  • They have funded and partnered with numerous local nonprofits to help with food, housing, clothing, support for at-risk families, nature education, etc.
